Dr. Bart Erhman has coming very close to adopting the New Testament Scholar Larry Hurtado's view of Jesus early divinity, Dr. Hurtado wrote on the same subject, over a decade before Erhman, except he wrote a more scholarly book. Erhman impressively has adopted the view that the divinity of Christ began with the disciples after the death of Christ. I have already examined Erhman's beliefs in light of Islamic beliefs about Jesus, and found Erhman's historical Jesus, fundamentally contradicts Islamic Issa.
