Memorial Day: Muslims have a special right not to be offended!

57 nation Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) connected to the U.N. back in 2009 wanted an international binding resolution of the blasphemy law, making it impossible to criticize and offend religions, specifically Islam.

Since 1998, the 57-nation had won majority approval in the council and at the United Nations General Assembly for a series of resolutions on "combating defamation of religion".  There forceful repeated attempts are recorded here.

Unfortunately however it's not merely Muslims in Muslims nations that have a right not to be offended, it's also the right of Muslims living in the West to have total control of newspapers in every country that depict cartoons of Mohammed, control of the Popes tongue who quoted a man who thought Islam was spread violently.

"Pakistan, which speaks for the OIC in the rights council, had argued that such protection against defamation was essential to defend Islam, and other religions, against criticism that caused offence to ordinary believers.

Islamic countries pointed to the publication of cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed in Denmark in 2005, which sparked anti-Western violence in the Middle East and Asia, as examples of defamatory treatment of their faith that they wanted stopped.(more here)"

Fortunately as of yet no such law has been ratified. However Muslims are still up to there old tricks even in Western Nations, claiming Islam has a special right not to be offended, as of now Muslims are protesting a cartoon at London University! Millions of Muslims in every country believe Islam should have special immunity.

I wonder why? Perhaps because Islam contains an explicit prohibition of criticism of Allah and his final prophet?

No couldn't be!

  1. I'm offended by them thinking they have the right not to be offended.
