Why is this important? Firstly Christians have always accepted the literal account because that is so clearly obvious what the Bible teaches, harmonizing the Big Bang or even Evolutionary Biology with Scripture is purely a tweentieth fabrication, thus I find the claim that "if Evolution is true that doesn't mean God is false" to be wrong. Genesis was not designed to be allegory, new intepretation technques have no basis in relevant history.
